Nissan's Head of Marketing discusses how the company is researching its plans for the connected car thoroughly, while also prioritizing customer data privacy.

Nissan’s Global Head of Marketing Roel de Vries talks about the company’s approach to customer data privacy as it develops the connected car. He is keen to stress that any data its customers share will be through an ‘opt-in’ scheme, and that once they have shared it Nissan will use a tech layer it has developed to make sure that it is kept very securely.

Roel also says that as part of the project of developing the connected car Nissan is conducting its research thoroughly, using workshops, focus groups and research studies to maximize the input customers have on the product.
